John has been at Bethany for more years than he cares to remember, it was where he came to faith. He is married to Barbara (who is also a deacon) and they have two grown children.

John has retired from his work as an environmental health protection officer (food) working for Cheshire West and Chester Council.

When he and Barbara are not looking after their grandchildren he likes nothing better than a spot of coarse fishing, or bird watching, that’s when he can get the time. He’s also a good man for a barbeque..
